viruz 0
Im Server Log steht folgende Zeile: 3 23:24:02.700 Info HttpServer: HTTP GET http://10.10.10.11:8096/emby/Users/d933de8029044f648ef30359f671e0ad/Items/f66299481b7675478e5b8c96f431e71f/Intros. UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (SmartHub; SMART-TV; U; Linux/SmartTV+2014; Maple2012) AppleWebKit/537.42+ (KHTML, like Gecko) SmartTV Safari/537.42+ Wie muss mein Profil aussehen, damit es greift? Vielen Dank im Voraus.

viruz 0
Hi Luke, the problem is that every 5.1 audio within a mkv gets transcoded when watching something on my Samsung TV. When I look into the logs I csn see that it doesn't find a matching profile and I guess it falls back to the default profile. 2018-11-03 22:41:14.840 Info App: Profile: Unknown Profile, Path: /mnt/movies/xxx/xxx.mkv, isEligibleForDirectPlay: True, isEligibleForDirectStream: True 2018-11-03 22:41:14.840 Info App: Profile: Unknown Profile, No direct play profiles found for Path: /mnt/movies/xxx/xxx.mkv Edited November 4, 2018 by viruz

Luke 37007
and the ffmpeg log?
Luke 37007
Also is this DLNA, or our Samsung app?
viruz 0
There is no ffmpeg.log. It is the Samsung App. I don't get it. The source file has 5.1 dts audio and is played as 2.0 stereo but there is no ffmpeg.log. Should I enable the debug logging? Luke 37007
So you're saying it is direct playing without any transcoding? Why do you feel it's being played as stereo?
viruz 0
When I play a medium with plex with 5.1 sound I can see it on my AV receiver that it ist digital 5.1 sound. Playing exactly the same medium with emby it is just 2.0. And you definitely hear the difference in quality.
Luke 37007
Can you check your TV audio settings? The TV handles this automatically. I am not sure what we can do here. @@SamES do you have any thoughts? Perhaps plex is converting to ac3?
SamES 890
I think @@alturismo might have the right answer. Please confirm. Thanks
viruz 0
Vielen Dank!
SamES 890
It would be interesting if you play this file with Plex, then confirm from the TV settings Audio menu whether PCM, DD, or DTS options are enabled. I suspect they are converting it to DD.

I suspect they are converting it to DD. sadly its the same behavior with ANY player ... its a samsung issue, i know this since the D Series ... unbelievable but true, almost as long as emby needs to make a samsung europe TV APP just kidding @@viruz DTS Neo 2.5 is a simulated DTS from samsung, by far not the real Dolby or DTS sound, just as note, if you want it sound original then u sadly have to switch back and forward when audio is changed ...
