Movie Conversion and Google Drive Sync

Hi all,

 

Im looking to do two things with Emby; 1. convert some of my 4k media to 1080p so transcoding doesnt need to take place and, 2. sync my library to Google Drive.

 

1. Am I also to have Emby convert/auto convert my 4k content to 1080p? I have mostly 4k Remuxes and would like to retain the quality but in a 1080p resolution.

2. would it be better to run the native Google Drive app in windows and sync my movies folder or use the built in syncing feature for Emby? It would be mainly for offsite backup of my media. I have a 300/300mbps internet connection so can stream my content fine to external locations but the idea of being able to utilize Google Drives servers for this seems nice. Hi, it's pretty easy in Emby, you can sync your 4k content to google drive at 1080p quality.

 

If you want to sync at both 1080p and 4k quality, then you can just create two sync jobs for each media you want to send to google drive. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
