When viewing media during play back is it possible to get the back and fwd to show more detail like the Blue Neons?

Or is this the new style that ROKU is forcing?

Am I making any sense??

Hi.  What, exactly, are you talking about?

The player transport controls are all built-in Roku items.

I knew I wasn't using my words properly.

Never mind, I am a dope

While photographing what I was trying to describe, I noticed that the beta does have the details I was asking about.

Each click is 10 seconds.

This is from BN.

Same as in Emby Beta

This is the item I was trying to describe. (If I posted the link correct)

That picture looks like what occurs when you don't have the BIF file for the item. At least thats how it works in SDKA. Realize, blue neon is doing absolutely nothing to the player controls. These are just defacto default. You cannot change these or customize them in SDKA.

The RSGA video player controls can be customized. It comes prebuilt pretty weakly. Not the same at all as SDKA comes prebuilt might this be the difference?

The playback pointer is there, the ^ in your picture.

The scrubber bar is there, the | at the top with the half moon around it.

It also accurately displays start and end in minutes.

Which part isn't on the emby beta?

All is good.

My use of the Emby Beta is what was "missing".

I am still getting used to it.

Ebr's response was the push I needed to look at it more closely.

All is well in Embyville!

1st snow may happen Sunday night.

No real freeze yet though.

My hearty plants in the back garden still have blooms here and there.

I can count on one hand how many Halloweens we have had WITHOUT snow on the ground in my 40 something years here.

This all said if you were REALLY asking about the weather.

If not, delete this post.

BTW

You and Ebr fixing "my" ass problem is greatly appreciated.

(hehehehehehe)

The statements about direct play not being needed is NOW understood, for me at least.

The subtitle issue is Roku letting us know that unofficially they support some things. The unofficial means, it has side effects, but can be done. ssa/ass usually have attribute tags with them to style them to fonts/x,y placements/etc you are losing that and seeing them as strictly srt would appear. Same with subrip it is supported but it is also reduced down to looking just like srt. The trade off in this case is worth the loss. You don't have to burn these into the videostream. The server doesn't have to on-the-fly convert them. It just works. This is the intention.

About the barometer comment, it actually means two things. I know you live in Alaska and are the first to feel winter. That was the pun. But you are also the best one to critique the app. I trust your opinion sir when it comes to what you find lacking/missing or otherwise not as it should be. I hope you aren't dismayed when BNN dies. I am going to do my best to get you everything you liked about that app into the official app. In 60 days we need to be at a point where most of blue neon is in the app, or there will be a feeling of loss. I completely understand. Trust me. :)
