Hi Luke.

We've just received on of the new Google Home Hubs and I've been casting Emby content to it from Emby using the mobile chrome browser on my phone.

It plays just fine, and brings up the remote controls, but if I navigate to the Dashboard page in chrome, the mobile menu sits over the top of the remote controls at the bottom of the screen and they disappear.

There doesn't seem to be any way of re-displaying the controls.

The same happens if I cast to my Shield, so it's not device related.

The only way I can STOP playback, is by dropping the cast connection itself.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks.

The remote controls also disappear when using the desktop Dashboard.

No controls in the dashboard.

For Google home this is currently expected behavior. Emby server does not have a way of communicating with it directly, therefore the buttons are not shown.

The Google Home Hub is based on the Chromecast OS, so it should work as it.

Why doesn't it work with my Shield then ? That also has in-built Chromecast.

It depends, what are you casting to with the shield? If chromecast, then the answer is the same. You need to control from the casting app.

If you are casting to our emby app on the Shield, then you can control from the server.

Casting from the Emby server to a device via Chromecast as it always has been since you added it to Emby.

Ok yea, the server does not have a direct connection to your chromecast device, so at this time you can't control from the server.
