Tony B. 38
I may have a suggestion. xTeve has quit on me a few times in the last few days. Not sure of the reason why. How about a "-p" for "persistent" I am guessing that I should probably look into my old skool Windows days to figure out how to make it a service. Any clues? I have not made a service in a long time in Win.

Task Scheduler Works for me.....Use these Settings xTeVe.bat File CMD /c "C:\xteve.exe -port="8080" -config="C:\xteve"" Make Sure to Delay the Start of Emby due to DLNA Port issue. (Disable autostart of Emby and Make a Task for it as well and delay by 1 Minute) Edited April 18, 2019 by EODCrafter
dcol 165
Task Scheduler has no method, I know of, for persistence. But as a service, you can restart service. Or you can use a program like Service Protector to have the best options to protect a service.

I don't know what your saying, but I do know mine has been running for 3 weeks straight from Task Scheduler with no issues.....Perhaps your talking about this?....... dcol 165
Task scheduler does not respawn programs that have stopped. It can only restart an app while it is trying to initially start it. The only way I can think of to achieve this with task scheduler is to try and start it every minute or so and then set it to 'if the task is already running' set to 'do not start a new instance. It is just a coincidence you haven't failed. The proper way to do it is to use a third party guardian program. dcol 165
xTeVe has a learning curve and can be finicky, thats all. I use it now.
EODCrafter 179
xTeVe has a learning curve and can be finicky, thats all. I use it now. TBH, I really hate Programs that re-spawn themselves like Emby does, but I can see where this would have it's uses (True Server Platform). I doubt I would use Windows for this though....Too Expensive/Too much Overhead. I like to be more in control over what is running or not.

dcol 165
Is there a way to change the backup folder when you do a manual backup? Putting it in AppData>Local>temp is bad for me since this folder gets auto cleaned on a schedule. Why isn't it put in xteve>Backup folder like the auto backup does? And on that note, why doesn't the restore goto the Backup folder? Edited April 22, 2019 by dcol

Tony B. 38
Another feature suggestion: Monitored usage of xTeve: Make a simple screen of what IP is using xTeve, how many tuners it's using, anything else you might be able to get from the client server. I really don't want to go over the limit with my IPTV provider. They just ban you immediately. marmei said that the tuner limit is only for HDHR, is that correct? You can Set the allowed amount of Tuners allowed in Emby...Wouldn't this be a better option? Also you define the Number of Tuners in xTeVe when you set it up. Also you define the Number of Tuners in xTeVe when you set it up. Since I have to use Plex to record TV and Emby to watch Live TV (recordings are really messed up in Emby right now and they are working on it), it's imperative that this xTeve function works as intended. Carlo 4330
The problem is that xTeVe can merge multiple provider files. Provider 1 could support 5 streams Provider 2 could support only 1 stream Now feed this file into Emby and what do you set this setting to?

Marmei already said to have multiple instances for different providers. Then set the limit per instance.
