adamstewiegreen 147
I'm using Emby for Kodi 18 in Direct play. I have a few movies which have multiple versions under one movie (e.g. Directors Cut, Theatrical Release etc...). Emby apps lets me choose which version I want to watch but Kodi doesn't. Is there any way for Kodi to let me choose? Or do I need to separate them into different folders? Thanks
Angelblue05 4130
You need to use addon playback mode to access this. In the addon settings > sync > playback mode. You'll need to resync your content. The reason being that native playback mode is fully controlled by Kodi and so the addon is unable to offer you these options. adamstewiegreen 147
Thanks. I'll have to see if the plugins I use will be affected. I used the addon setting for the plex version and I remember the native playback being much faster. Is that the case with Emby's addon playback too? Angelblue05 4130
Yes it will be because Kodi fully controls playback in native playback mode whilst addon playback calls your server to setup playback. That's why it can let you choose which version to view etc, which is not something that is support in Kodi.
