Subtitle size not changing on Xbox One X

I've tried modifying the subtitle size and the font from the settings on Emby Theater, but nothing happens.

Had no issues with changing the sub size on the web player, but on the Xbox, it refuses to change.

The subtitles are .srt, I've tried both external and embedded subtitles, neither one makes a difference.

Also, when the "Playing Next" thing shows up ~30 seconds before the video ends and I try to hide it, it just pops right back up again.

Yes, I just tried and I'm seeing the same here.  I've tried smaller, small, normal, and extra large and see no difference in size of subtitle text on screen when displayed on my TV.

XB1X App version 1.1.229

Server 3.6.0.51 beta

Subtitle is SRT UTF-8

Ok thanks. It looks like for now this isn't going to work on the MS rendering engine, and we'll have to just hide the settings in the meantime. Thanks.

Something has changed recently (not sure if it's this particular issue...there's no settings for subtitle size in the Xbox App itself) but the subtitles on xbox got super small and black. Totally unreadable.

There's also some weird issue with them and 4k videos? If you play a 4k video and uncheck the box (under transcoding on the server) that says "Allow transcoding on the fly" then it will take the whole movie out of direct play. I'm also unable to get it to play the subtitles that are built into the file it seems like? Only an SRT?

Rather like you said I guess....something about the MS rendering engine...but something changed and it's all borked (in a new way recently...this monthish).
