Same artist, different results depending on platform

The attachment is the screen I see when I click on the Sinead O Connor icon on my Emby PC app.

Emby apparently only allows one attachment per message, and I don't see why, especially if you have a problem of two different results between the Roku app and the web app, when they should be the same.

Anyway, clicking on the Sinead O Connor icon on the Roku app brings up an entirely different artist and album and songs.

Obviously the Roku app is giving the incorrect results. How do I fix this? Anyone?

Sorry but without a example or logs it is hard to say.

Also there is only a single files size limit on attachment and I believe a user limit, but you can remove old attachment is you have reached your limit in the user control panel.

Hi.  Don't use attachments for screen shots.  Use the "add image" button in the little toolbar of the edit box for the forum.

I can't see the example from the Roku so I'm not sure but, again, all of this sounds like a tagging problem with the music.

Ebr, with all due respect, and I sincerely mean that, I don't see why I am only allowed to upload a single attachment. Any email program, and many other programs, let you upload multiple files as attachments to a message.

Second, as far as stating it is a "tagging" problem with the music. In my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong, you are stating the music files and artists are tagged incorrectly from the get go on my hard drive.

They are not.

There, just like the Emby web app. They are correct.

Thirdly, here is the image I get from the Roku app. I knew no other way to get a screenshot from my TV.

This is what shows up on the Roku app when I click on the Sinead O Connor button.5bacf8513a4de_20180927_10305701.jpg other than to take an actual photo, so any apologies.

If you follow what EBR recommended, using the Image button you can attach multiple files, change to the "Upload" tab, choose the file, click send it to the server, then repeat for as many files as you desire.  I have personally noticed posts with up to 4 images/files attached.

Which app and server version are you one?  I am on beta server and app and don't see the issue you are having.  Is that the only artist you are seeing this issue with?

Wild guess, maybe Roku has issue with the special character in her name?

@@speechles this is a good time to go through the app and make sure the queries are 100% consistent with the web app. Like for example, making sure these queries by artist are all using artist Id and not name. For studios, genres and artists everything should be id based and not by name.

making sure these queries by artist are all using artist Id and not name.

That's probably the root of this problem...
