omer50 0
Dear friends, I have a little question. I had a DS211j laying around and I wanted to use this for IPTV with an M3U file (found on the internet to test out). So i tried to install emby and setup everything, got to the point i can see my channels, but man, what was it working slow. When i click any channel, it will get to an infinite loading. My question is, is my device not good enough or am i doing something wrong, or is it a bad drive or something? Specs are: 1.2GHz 128mb Ram the cpu and ram stays both under 100 most of the time. cpu sometimes hits 100, but average is 50-70 for both. would love to hear from you. thanks

omer50 0
Here is the log from emby. It is working now on some channels, but it is veeeeeery slow with loading. Even reaching the logs took a very long time. what can be the cause? bad specs, bad hdd`s? is there an alternative instead of synology, like VPS where i can run this at its cheapest and add some storage to the vps for torrents etc? omer50 0
no not exactly, it takes ages for everything on emby to load, even the log page, what can be the cause of this? Bad specs?
solabc16 379
Hello @@omer50 The DS211j has an ARMv5 processor that dates back to 2009, so it's certainly limited in terms of raw processing power. For what you're trying to do, this h/w really isn't going to be up to the job I'm afraid to say.
