jason.atwood 3
Emby has matched most of my music ( through MusicBrainz and AudioDb I assume). It's finding most albums but not a lot of the artists. It's weird. It'll properly identify an album, but not the artist for that album. What am I doing wrong? When I try to `Identify` an artist I'm presented with a lot of options, and no pictures to differentiate what they mean. (see attached).
Luke 36884
Hi, does your music have musicbrianz information embedded into the audio files?
jason.atwood 3
I'm not sure what you mean "embedded". How would I know?
Luke 36884
Like for example id3 tags embedded into mp3 files. What kind of music files do you have?
jason.atwood 3
Mostly mp3s. Yes most of them have ID3 data for artists name/ album/ track name
Luke 36884
Ok, all of this will be improved for the next release of Emby Server, thanks.
jason.atwood 3
Do you mean like this? I see that most of the artists have a MusicBrainz ID set (those with artist images, those without). For those without images, most of the IDs match up to the album artists, but in a few cases they don't match.
Luke 36884
Ok thanks for the info. The current 3.5.3 release has a few issues related to this. They have been resolved for the upcoming 3.6 release. Thanks.
