Hi there,

i have the following setup

Emby for macOS

One network HDD mounted on /Mounts/Mediathek1/Movies

and the other one is an USB Drive @ /Volumes/Lacie/Mediathek2/Movies

i want to discontinue using the Network HDD and swap all things over to another USB3 drive.

is it possible :

to copy all content from network HDD to the new drive

AND

edit some file(s) from emby in macOS to change the path to file from /Mounts/Mediathek1/Movies

to

/Volumes/Lacie2/Mediathek1/Movies

????

that I can keep all my watched state etc....?????

Thanks for help

Hi, what you need to do is use Emby library setup to remove the old folder, and then add the new one. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

Ok, if you follow our backup procedures:

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Backup

And IF your titles end up with the same imdb/moviedb/tvdb id's following the library scan, then yes, user data will be preserved.

Local nfo files are something that could have helped store the identifier information. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

only to get sure, I don't want to move the whole library , my library (movie/TV and music) contains 2 drives and I want to exchange one of them
