Many photo enthusiast use RAW files when they take pictures; they come in a lot of different flavors and extensions.

Here from WIkipedia:

It would be a nice addition to be able to manage and display these in the Photo library !

I have checked and my Nikon .nef are not handled by Emby ;)

Is there a list somewhere of which RAW files that EMBY supports?

Thanks

Chris

We need to compile a list, but currnently it's the more popular ones, e.g. dnr, raw, cr2, etc.

Any chance to also enable Olympus RAW format "ORF", and "DNG" from Adobe?

Regards,
Harald

Both of these are already enabled.

Thanks, great, works now, probably needed to index first.
Now I have the problem that the image orientation is not corrected for portrait images.

I am using the iPad app, and Android app, does not work on both ..

Is there a setting to activate that?

Regards,

Harald

Seems to work for jpg, but not for DNG or ORF raw files.

Plex turns both JPG and DNG portrait images correctly, for the same files, so the info must be in the metadata.

Those workarounds assume you already know what the orientation is. The whole point of my ticket is that the library doesn't report the correct value, so that needs to get fixed first before we can auto orient.

My images know their orientation, thats in the respective exif tag of the raw file. Other tools use that info and turn the image accordingly into the correct position. But seems for skia, it still needs to be implemented.

also it seems I cant sort by when image was taken, which needs to be there for photos ...
