Sorry for the duplicate thread, but I don't have permissions to view it for whatever reason....

When I start the beta app, just before showing the users selection page it crashes back to the roku home screen.

Thanks.

I can't even see my thread after it moved.

Yes. Same server, same everything, the emby stable roku app launches and functions ok, but the beta app never gets to the server/user selection screen. You get the circle for a second and welcome screen and then back to roku home screen.

I would have to test more but when I signed out of the beta app .105 yesterday I had the same thing happen.  Launch app and just get bounced back to Roku Home.  I ended up removing and re-adding the app.

@@ebr

Tested again today, after signing out was unable to launch app again.

Removed app

Restarted Roku

Added app

Now I am able sign in again.

I tried deleting the app and reinstalled the beta and restarting the roku still get the crashing to home.

I'll try a roku restart between deleting and reinstalling the app now.

That is what I had to do as uninstall/reinstall provided same results.

Note similar issue is/was reported in Testing area also.

Where is the testing area? It's not listed under the testing section of the forum and I've always reported bugs and such in this section for the roku beta app.

I put a comment in that section as it appears to be restricted from user group.

Okay, so the issue is only after explicitly signing out.  I will fix that but, can I ask, why you were doing that?  That is a very cumbersome way to exit the app and isn't really necessary so just wondering.

Thanks.

If that was directed to me...I never singed out. Just tried to open the app the other day and it crashed as described. Family just uses the home button on the remote to exit to roku home screen.

Same here.

Just an FYI - if this helps : I have a user that is OUTSIDE my lan and they say they are on 105 and that roku is WORKING......

dunno how that is the case as it is repeatable over and over inside my LAN

Only way I could reproduce is signing out.

Does the steps in post 7 work for your issue?

Just to add I have uninstalled and reinstalled and that did not work.

You restarted the Roku after uninstalling?

Its been many years since I installed the roku beta app, I did not wish to uninstall it in case I could not re-install it.

I also have 7 roku's to manage so I dont want to do that to all of them if there is a beta fix forthcoming soon.

Yes. And I just tried it again.

This 106 and latest server beta seem to be great now.

No more crash when doing a search.  By letter also spot on.

Roku all seems to be working as normal with no issues.

Thanks.
