Guest Normal
Simple question which I can not find a answer for on github. My current folder structure for TV shows \Videos ----------\Prison Break\ -----------------------------\S01\ ------------------------------------HERE ALL MKV's of S01 -----------------------------\S02\ ------------------------------------HERE ALL MKV's of S02 etc .... Now I would like to put all MKV files in a subfolder which has trhe same name like the mkv itself \Videos ----------\Prison Break\ -----------------------------\S01\ ------------------------------------Prison Break - S01E01 - Title ------------------------------------Prison Break - S01E01 - Title\Prison Break - S01E01 - Title.mkv Is this supported? PenkethBoy 2063
You did read this i assume https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming - so no And why would you want to?
Guest Normal
I've read this as written above. This is sad. Because I want to save all meta data next to the video files and this gives a total mess otherwise. Are you sure it's not supported?
naeonline 27
Save metadata as hidden, then you only see it when you specifically want to see it.
Guest Normal
Just tested my (first post) approach. Works good. No more mess. Now I hope this one gets respected! https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/62734-make-emby-find-subtitles-in-subs-folder-next-to-the-video-files/?p=620232 Edited September 14, 2018 by Normal

Happy2Play 8275
I prefer the legacy way in a hidden metadata folder. I believe Luke added this awhile ago, as there are other topics on it.
Guest Normal
The metadata folder only works on TV series, not on movies. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming
Luke 37049
And it only works for the legacy xml format, not nfo.
Guest Normal
When I uncheck the NFO option in my library setings, is it using the xml instead? What is better, xml or nfo?
Luke 37049
Use nfo, that is what the Emby team is developing and testing. Xml is community maintained.
Happy2Play 8275
When I uncheck the NFO option in my library setings, is it using the xml instead? What is better, xml or nfo? If you uncheck the nfo option information will only be written the database. As for xml metadata I still uses Media Center Master and the XML Metadata plugin in Emby.
