aenima99x 8
Just curious if it's normal now for the addon to be leaving the database temp files open?
Angelblue05 4130
Is it remaining open? They should be closed upon Kodi shutdown (if it shuts down correctly). And yes it is normal because I've changed the way the addon writes to the Kodi database to avoid database locked errors. However the file remaining usually means a crash, but it should fix itself the next time you start Kodi. aenima99x 8
The thing is I always leave Kodi open as these are all appliance-like boxes running LibreElec. I've noticed some high cpu usage as well since the changes
Angelblue05 4130
Which skin are you using?
aenima99x 8
A mix of Aura and Estuary on all the boxes. Cpu usage is the same on both
Angelblue05 4130
Does it use script skin helper? I'm using Estuary and my cpu usage is less than 1% all the time.
Angelblue05 4130
Provide your Kodi log that captures high cpu usage, hopefully we can see if it's addon or something else. However I'm not seeing this issue myself. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/
aenima99x 8
Yes, the Aura skin uses the skin helper addons. I'm going to enable debugging and dig through the logs later when I can. I did notice that the MyVideos db did remove the shm & wal files after a reboot, but the Textures db has kept the shm & wal files after several reboots. Angelblue05 4130
Did you change any artwork? The addon won't reconnect to the database until then meaning that file will remain. It doesn't cause any issues... If you switch to Estuary and restart Kodi, does the cpu usage looks normal? aenima99x 8
Nope haven't changed any artwork. The cpu usage stays high when switching to estuary and then rebooting. I should also ention that I'm on Emby server 3.6.0.40...I know Luke had made some db changes in 3.
Angelblue05 4130
Try with 3.1.12a https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/21888-emby-for-kodi/?p=620620 I think I resolved the cpu usage issue.
aenima99x 8
Just upgraded to 3.1.13a and did a database reset. After the scan all looks good now. Thanks again!
