I'm not sure. I would leave questions for Apple TV in the Apple TV Testing Area. Thanks.

Hum other stuff here for IPhone X (and other new phone with bunch of detectors at top of display): I noticed the size of the video is not taking the whole screen in the app. It’s the default behaviour in Safari, and I think was requested by some people.

BUT what about people like me who prefer to have it taking the whole screen? I don’t care about loosing a little bit of screen due to detector thingee, I would like to have the picture taking the whole screen please. Could you add the option, as in Safari please?

Hi Luke
The issue of the app still being in landscape mode after stopping a video has come back with 1.7.6 (4)
iPhone X with iOS 12.2 bêta 2
Thanks

Well I still have some videos not taking the whole screen and others taking the whole screen. Can’t find the common denominator but seems to happen more with 16:9 videos.

Well seems normal due to the iPhone X display I guess.

So yeah definitely there is something to do on iOS app. I compared to Safari which is using the iOS Embedded video player and the « fill » option is smarter:
