DreadManX 0
I'm running - Ubuntu 16.04.5 - Emby Server Version 3.5.2.0 - Dual Xeons X5660 @ 2.80GHz - 96 GB RAM The first user I created and the one I tied to Emby premier (if that matters), can transcode a 4k 30 FPS, video no problem. If I switch users in the same browser session, same tab (Chrome or Firefox) the video plays at 12-17 fps. I've done a side by side comparison of the users with the working user and everything is the same - I even tried the "user can manage server" setting. I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. Can anyone help me out here? What more info is needed?

Luke 37056
They are both working, but the second one is burning in the selected subtitle track. Burning in subtitles can be very costly and in this case your system just can't do it fast enough. Try turning off the subtitles. For more efficient subtitle support we recommend external .srt files. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Luke 37056
Well in this case they're embedded in your video files. We do not currently have a way for you to ignore them.
