Playlist over DLNA is extremely slow

I am exploring the DLNA feature of Emby and my CS-N755 Network Hi-Fi Mini System.  I can connect, and see my libraries, including my music playlists (HUGE advantage over Plex, BTW), but when I play a playlist, it takes several seconds, perhaps a minute, to start the next track when one finishes.  Is this typical, or is there a fix?

Hi, it's not typical. While we don't have a CS-N755 Network Hi-Fi Mini System for testing, I can say the overall performance of the next release of the server will be considerably faster, so this might help with that.

So I finally got around to looking into this.  I have installed the beta version of emby-server (Version 3.6.0.78 beta).  The behavior has not changed, and it is not exclusive to playlists - it also occurs just playing something from a library.

To see if this was just a fact of life with DLNA on my system, I also tried disabling Emby DLNA and enabling Plex DLNA.  Plex is able to play tracks with no more than 2 or 3 seconds delay, while Emby is typically well over a minute for each track.

I don't know if it will help, but I believe the attached log file includes a period where I was trying to play something over DLNA.

Yeah, browsing is as responsive as I would expect.  Just when I start a track to play, it takes over a minute before it actually starts to play.  If there's a queue, there's over a minute delay from the end of one track to the start of the next.

Like I said, it's not just playlists.  I could be starting a single track, or an album with 10 tracks, or a playlist with a few hundred tracks.  It always takes over a minute to start each track.

I just noticed I forgot to attach the log file to my earlier post.  It's there now.

No idea. How do I tell?  My library is a mix of .mp3 and .flac.  I doubt that bitrates, etc., are consistent.
