I have a MKV rip of the Da Vinci Code. I set the forced subtitles to be defaulted on as you can see in the Media Info below

When opening the movie in Theater Desktop the Subtitles are turn off and therefore don't play.

When I use the Web Client then subtitles are turned on and play as expected

I would love to see Theater act like the web client which is what i expected.

I only have one user so that isn't it.

My Subtitle mode is set to Only Force Subtitles.

But that may be the problem.

That particular rip might not be forced it could be the only subtitles on that.

I will play with the settings and report back.

What does the Smart mode do??

PS. I believe that Default is the setting to  use in my circumstance.

Thanks but I didn't go to settings

Hi, try going into the settings screen and there will be help text explaining what each option does.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
