Unable to add a lineup

I've signed up with Schedules Direct, and input my username/password. That works correctly. However, when I set my country and zip code, it spins for a moment and then doesn't return any lineups. Looking at the logs, I can see that the login with SD's JSON service works, as it gets a token. Then Emby tries to pull the lineup for my zip (30319), and returns that the request timed out. SD itself doesn't show any issues. I've restarted Emby, and get the same result. Any ideas?

hi @@renobles, testing with your zip code I was able to reproduce the problem. Our timeout before giving up is 20 seconds but schedules direct is taking 40 seconds to respond for your zip code for whatever reason.

We will increase the timeout for the next release to resolve this. If you need immediate relief the change should be up on the beta channel in the coming days. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. We are increasing the timeout before giving up and that should resolve it, although it's a little strange the these Schedules direct urls are taking so long to respond. Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m on the beta now. Same result, but I’m assuming it will be a decent while before the increased timeout is pushed.

Yea unfortunately we still have other changes in progress that aren't quite ready yet. Hopefully soon. Thanks.

Yea that seems to be the pattern, smaller towns taking longer to process. I'm hoping to have a new beta server by the end of the week. Thanks.

Just to fill in some technical info on this.

The AWS servers Schedules Direct uses do not store all possible headends and lineups for all possible postal codes and countries. What they do is cache any headends and lineups that go through them for any of their members and will then maintain them. If you request a zipcode that is not in their database, then you have to wait for emby to request it using the SD API, which will request it using the Gracenote API, and then wait for the results of the headends to find the lineups. The big cities will have a quick response because there are already established SD members in those cities so the headends and lineups are on the AWS servers and ready to go.
