Argonous 0
It looks as if TheGamesDB has changed their URL structure, which means Gamebrowser can no longer pull data from the site. Here is an example: Old structure: https://thegamesdb.net/game/113 New structure: https://thegamesdb.net/game.php?id=113 Here is how I discovered it. 1) I tried to click on the GamesDB link: 2) I received this error: 3) Verified that no artwork was importing from TheGamesDB: 4) I then checked the link for the game at TheGamesDB and noticed the URL had now changed to https://thegamesdb.net/game.php?id=113 Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version? Luke 37008
Hi, the click link is easy enough to change, but as far as pulling data down from GamesDb, please see here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/61292-gamesdb-returning-no-results-in-metadata-manager Thanks. Argonous 0
Thanks Luke! Any chance the API key support will be integrated into the plugin for those of us who request one?
Luke 37008
I think that's something that we're going to have to leave up to community contributions to the GameBrowser plugin. Going through the process of obtaining an api key is something that very few people will want to do and therefore it's probably not a great use of our developer time. I'm more interested in finding a newer source for games metadata. But if there's a community member who might like to help add this to the plugin, that would be fine by me. Thanks. cash84 4
I’ve been looking into this and and was deciding to switch to Kodi for games but they are have the same issue with all database pretty much. Best route so far that works is doing offline scraping. You can get complete artworks from emu movies. And there is Offline scrapper to use here https://github.com/billyc999/Game-database-info I’m willing to donate to whoever can get this going.
