Emby crash when I play a movie in my TV LG Webos

Hello all,

 

I have a problem with my Emby.

 

My version is 3.5.1.0, but it was the same with an old version.

 

Yesterday I play my movie with Emby for LG web OS.

I check in the webserveur that I'm in direct play, and it was OK.

But a few minutes later, the film freezes and do not resume until several minutes.

I don't remember at what time was it.

Few minutes later, at 21h12 it was the same.

And when I want to see the webserver with my smartphone, the page doesn't answer and I had error.

I tested stop and start on my TV, and I had an error.

 

It is not the first time, it was the same many day ago with other movies and with Emby for Android and Emby for LG webOS.

I think Emby server crash.

I have tested the same movie with the new version and no crash.

Have you any idea to explain their crash ?

Today with an another movie, I have a crash.

 

I activated h / w: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43282-hw-transcoding-on-evansport-ds415playds214play-machines/ since my test of yesterday.

 

Could this block the movie ?

I do not know how to cancel it. I have an error,...

Saying that, it is intermittent and seemingly somewhat random in nature in my experience - can you reproduce at will?

Restarting the server always fixes it, but it does take a service restart within DSM, Emby Server becomes entirely unresponsive when this happens.

Your personal system have the option of h/t ? If you don't have this option, I suppose that's not what makes the server crash.

 

Yes it is intermittent. I restart emby services and no crash for the rest of the movie.

But how to understand what's wrong? There is nothing in the log.

I don't believe this has anything to do with hardware transcoding, what caught my eye was the last line in the log:-

This is the only behaviour we had identified consistently across the failures, with time allowing us to eventually correlate the two events down to the second.

 

If I recall correctly, it was more prevalent with the Cinema Mode plugin enabled - it would play the two trailers without issue, then freeze at the progress update at the beginning of the movie.

 

Are you running the Cinema Mode plugin, with it enabled for the content you were trying to play at the time?

 

I'll try and recreate this setup today, if we can recreate it at will, we'll have a better chance of getting to the bottom of it. The process doesn't crash, which would suggests it's a deadlock.

I am sorry, but the new version .16 is not good for me.

Yesterday and saturday night, my movies stopped twice.

The dashboard website was not responding, I had the 4th time stop the Emby server in the packages and restart it.

 

I was on android TV not with Emby for LG this time.

 

He stopped at 17h4 and 17h58,...

Do you have any news to fix this problem.

At this moment it is the second time which emby stop to play my movie. When I go to the webserver is not responding err_rime_out

These are persistent though, across multiple days. Are there any issues you're aware of, as far as LAN/Internet connectivity for this system is concerned?

 

I'm not saying this is the issue, but may be a factor.

 

I'd agree that it is probably worth waiting for the next release at this point, but do feel free to send your latest logs across and I'll take another look.

 

Was the failure on 08/12, the date you posted? Did it require a service restart in Package Center to bring it back?

For me my LAN was good, I don't know if there is a problem with this.

Yes I had the problem 4 times, at the time I wrote here.
The fourth, I was forced to restart emby in the syno and I finished to see the movie without Emby.
 
I lost 30 minutes to finally watch the movie by transferring it to the box,...
This is the most embarrassing and recurring problem I have on emby
