dex01 0
Hello, I am trying to get emby server running on my Raspberry Pi but I run into a segfault error when trying to run it. I am running a fresh Raspbian install with Emby Server Debian Armhf v3.5.1.0 (v3.6.0.2 gave the same result). Raspberry Pi Model: B Revision 1.0 CPU: ARM11J6JZF-S (arm v6) # uname -a Linux raspberrypi 4.14.50+ #1122 Tue Jun 19 12:21:21 BST 2018 armv6l GNU/Linux # /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer Segmentation fault It seems to be a platform specific issue at first, is there a way to re-compile emby server for this specific version of the Raspberry Pi ? Luke 36879
it looks like we may be out of luck for now, as we're dependent on .net core support on armv6: https://github.com/dotnet/coreclr/issues/10605 We could always produce a mono based package for this. It's something we'll take into consideration.
dex01 0
Ok, nothing that I can do immediately in order to fix this then. Thanks for the quick and accurate answer. Maybe I'll consider getting a rpi 3+ or banana pi m64 then ... One question: is there a way to avoid any transcoding operation server side ? Luke 36879
is there a way to avoid any transcoding operation server side ? Yes of course, simply play media that your Emby apps support natively without transcoding. Emby apps will always direct play when possible. You can learn more about the supported formats for each app by checking out our wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Transcoding Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
