Opps sorry.  When ever I try to play any media (locally over CAT6 from a Windows 10 PC running Emby Server 3.5.0.0 I get an error telling me to see Emby log file.

The server is fine I believe because I can use the Emby webapp on my PC and connect just fine. It was working fine just before I got the notification of the new AndroidTV update on my Shield, and after I just can't get anything to play.  I have added new media to the server, and my Kodi is refreshing and showing the new files I added (after the update).  I have three seperate Nvidia Shields all connected via CAT6 that have stopped working after the update.

The issue is something is triggering the add-on before it's logged in/there's no information loaded into the add-on yet. Just give me a few to make a build to correct this, thanks.

Which skin do you use? Something is triggering the add-on to play stuff as Kodi is starting up, maybe a widget?

Anyway, this build should hopefully do it.

This time, it doesn't tell me there's an error, it just doesn't play anything.  Log:

Because you are not logged in. Wait until you see the Welcome message then playback should work. Check your settings to make sure they are still filled. Look at the log, it fails to connect. Are the address tested right?

The Emby welcome message never appears.  As well, all information is the same, has not changed at all to the server and is input correctly.

When I go into the Emby Addon and manually Open it, the first time I try to play a movie it says "error please check the log" then just doesn't play anything without giving the error again.

Your log shows failing to connect to your server. Fix that and it should work.

Are you trying to connect locally? Remotely? If you check your own logs, you'd see the ip address it's trying. The connection times out. It tried 192.x.x.37:10010/181.x.x.99:10010

Both fails to connect.

So now my issue is none of my Shields are connecting to the Emby server.  Literally nothing about my home network/server has changed.  Only thing that changed was trying to get the Kodi4Emby addon to work.  I can't even get the Shields to connect with the Emby Android TV app, but I can use the same IP/Port and connect via app.emby.media on other PC's inside the home.

I am honestly at a loss here and have no idea what is going on.

Just a shot in the dark, but you might want to verify that all your Shield(s) are still on the same network ( 192.168.7.x ) and pingable from your machine hosting your Emby Server.

The new AndroidTV update on your Shield(s) may have messed with your Shield(s) network settings.

Another shot in the dark, which version number has its current Kodi Video DB: MyVideos110.db? Had a similar problem as the code versions 18 were adapted recently and Kodi did not automatically make the 109 out of the 110. The file can be found on Android: /Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/database

Best regards
