Hi,

I'm sure I missed something here, but is there any reason why the latest stable release (3.5) source code is not available for download from Github?

In https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/releases the latest available version for download is 3.4.1.18-beta.

There are no newer source code releases.

From where can I download the source code for 3.5? Should I go to the commit for 3.5  and download that point in time of the source tree?

Thanks.

Thanks for the pointer. Yet I’m not really sure we are talking about the same or maybe I’m missing something.

I’m referring to the source code tarball that used to be published in the “Releases” section in github. But maybe it’s all related. @@Luke or anyone else can you confirm?

Thanks for the reply but not really. The repo you shared seems to contain only binary releases. Even the link thar says “Source code” contains the apks for Android or something like that which is not what I’m looking for. I want the source code tarball as available until 3.4.0.

The source code is in the main Emby repo, but we do have a private process to create all of the platform outputs that you see in the releases repository.

Understood. So if I want to download the source code for 3.5 to build it manually, should I go to the main repo, look for the commit of 3.5 and download the Zip file for the source tree at that point in time? Or how can I do this? Why the source tarball is not available anymore in the releases section of the main repo in github?

Thanks.

I just created a tag for 3.5 in the main Emby repo. I hadn't done that yet as the release just went up yesterday afternoon, but i just did.

Sorry for a near year later bump...

But is there another repo for Emby now?

The one linked directly above (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby) hasn't been updated in nearly a year. Or perhaps since I am running the latest Beta builds, this Github repo isn't a good link for that use case?

But even the Beta branch seems to be about 10 months outdated.

I really want to see changes to the web dashboard (specifically the itemdetailpage.js) so I can adjust my local tweaks accordingly.

I'd love to see it all too, but for now, at least the web interface stuff would be fantastic to track changes. :)

Again, I am running on the Beta builds, so that may be a factor.

Anyway.... if there is a new repo/link to the latest code, I'd appreciate a direct link!

Thanks!
