moviefan 183
I've been testing Emby for Google Home out along with @@Angelblue05. One of the issues I reported is that when I resume from GH while the screensaver is playing in Emby for WMC that the video starts playing again, but the screensaver doesn't go away until I grab the remote and do some input to make it do so. Angel believes this is a bug with the app and not GH integration. Any thoughts here? I think it can also be replicated when resuming from the web app. Will confirm a bit later. Luke 36879
Do you mean the windows screen saver?
moviefan 183
No, the Emby slide show screensaver that shows the backdrops.
Luke 36879
Ok, we'll see what @@ebr thinks. Thanks.
ebr 14856
If you use the normal remote control functions (like from the web app) does the same thing happen?
Angelblue05 4130
It should. The GH uses the same remote control commands as the web client remote control. Just sending a sessions/playing and that's what the user says happens.
moviefan 183
I tried testing the pause/play functionality from the web app and it didn't actually work at all. I got no response.
Luke 36879
I would expect it to match whatever happened with alexa.
ebr 14856
Yeah, that doesn't really make much sense... as Angel said, the two should be identical. Can you try again? Perhaps there was some other issue at that time. As for the main issue of this post, I imagine it is simply a scenario that has never been tested. Thanks.
