mrdark 0
I purchased a year subscription solely for Emby Theater use and Live TV. So far I've spent a week going through these forums and other online resources trying to get live TV to work, but after troubleshooting a bunch of other things to get them working like they should I still cannot get Live TV to work. It works on internet browsers on desktop computers and that's it. It's awful and practically useless on the PS4 as well, which is the original device for which I made the purchase. Since it won't work on the PS4 I thought I'd try the Pi since thats the only other device I have that would be useful for this. What kind of information is necessary to start troubleshooting this issue? Problem: 1) TV will just sit at black screen, does not attempt to load. When I check the CableCard tuner status it shows none of them active. (HD Home Run) 2) The guide is not listed on the home page. I have to scroll down to the TV section before I can see an option for the guide. Going from the channel or program directly yields the same result as above. 3) The region seems to be European (Programme / Favourites / etc). Is there another version of the application I was to get? The last commit on the git I have looks to be a year ago. If this isn't something that is working or is able to be resolved I'm going to need to request a refund. Thanks, Dark Edited June 24, 2018 by mrdark

Luke 36886
Hi, are you able to play using the server's built-in web app?
mrdark 0
Okay, while I did return the year subscription I have some time this weekend and liked the interface enough to give it one more try for a month. Here is something I noticed I'm getting the moment I try to open a television channel: Please note that my client is 192.168.1.51 and my HomeRunHD is on 192.168.1.40. Does this help determine what the issue may be? I'm not actually seeing it call the HomeRunHD, but I may just be misunderstanding what I'm seeing. pi@raspberrypi:~/emby-theater-pi $ electron . cec-client Initializing cec-client { cecExePath: 'cec-client', cecEmitter: EventEmitter { domain: null, _events: {}, _eventsCount: 0, _maxListeners: undefined }, cecIgnoreInit: true } UDP Client listening on 0.0.0.0:48703 starting udp receive timer with timeout ms: 1000 Message from: 192.168.1.51:7359 ServerDiscovery message received Server discovery json: {"Address":"http://192.168.1.51:8096","Id":"f35bc7160c384ebf9d8bd83ae7e78d60","Name":"EMBY"} timer expired 1 servers received [ { Address: 'http://192.168.1.51:8096', Id: 'f35bc7160c384ebf9d8bd83ae7e78d60', Name: 'EMBY', EndpointAddress: '192.168.1.51' } ] Play Data : {"url":"http://192.168.1.51:8096/emby/Videos/4782d3b04cc3a2352b589423583abc25/stream.mpegts?Static=true&mediaSourceId=native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d&deviceId=raspberrypi&api_key=80ef8533ec3b4422818afb3620a75271&LiveStreamId=a17c75760a04e99b68cf766e11316e1c_09efa0d56b934a82adec00a87b837fb0_native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d","startTime":"00:00:00","subtitleUrl":null,"subtitleCodec":null,"liveStream":true} Play URL : http://192.168.1.51:8096/emby/Videos/4782d3b04cc3a2352b589423583abc25/stream.mpegts?Static=true&mediaSourceId=native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d&deviceId=raspberrypi&api_key=80ef8533ec3b4422818afb3620a75271&LiveStreamId=a17c75760a04e99b68cf766e11316e1c_09efa0d56b934a82adec00a87b837fb0_native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d Play StartTime : 00:00:00 Play SubtitleUrl : null Play SubtitleCodec : null Play LiveStream : true [ '--alpha', '90', '--pos', '00:00:00', '--live', 'http://192.168.1.51:8096/emby/Videos/4782d3b04cc3a2352b589423583abc25/stream.mpegts?Static=true&mediaSourceId=native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d&deviceId=raspberrypi&api_key=80ef8533ec3b4422818afb3620a75271&LiveStreamId=a17c75760a04e99b68cf766e11316e1c_09efa0d56b934a82adec00a87b837fb0_native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d' ] Player Closed Player Closed: --alpha,90,--pos,00:00:00,--live,http://192.168.1.51:8096/emby/Videos/4782d3b04cc3a2352b589423583abc25/stream.mpegts?Static=true&mediaSourceId=native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d&deviceId=raspberrypi&api_key=80ef8533ec3b4422818afb3620a75271&LiveStreamId=a17c75760a04e99b68cf766e11316e1c_09efa0d56b934a82adec00a87b837fb0_native_8b86bd9028970d79c6f33eef4f26747b_a5f405776fe087e0869906bfec77f33d Player Closed - mrdark 0
Also, the web interface DOES work on the Pi. The app doesn't. But the web player performs pretty poorly.
mrdark 0
SON OF A BITCH. It was the MPEG2 codec. I swear to god I installed it before but I guess either it was broken or I had reset the thing after I installed it and forgot to do it again. Either way I think we're set. Give me a week of solid service and I'll buy this bad boy at least a year.
Luke 36886
Thanks for the feedback. Stay tuned because we're about to have something very nice for the Pi.
