Long-time Plex user here, considering a move to Emby.

I've searched for answers but cannot really find any official source.

My question,

What audio formats are natively supported by Emby/Xbox One S? Meaning no trascoding, just direct stream.

Example can I play a 1080p DB Remux with DTS-HD MA on Xbox Ones S without transcoding?

My AVR supports all audio codecs and I also have Nvidia Shield which bitstreams everything perfectly to my AVR.

Is the audio support on Emby the same as for Plex? Only AC3/AAC?

I know Microsoft has opened up support for HD audio for third party apps.

Hi, yes, it is ac3/aac. I am not sure they've opened up all hd audio formats to third party apps as of yet. Thanks.
