Web Client Kiosk Mode?

so i used chrome to create a desktop shortcut to the et web client, it works very nicely in that the shortcut opens et in an app-like window instead of a tabbed browser page, the chrome option is  settings > more tools > add to desktop > open as window.

but now i would like the shortcut to launch in kiosk mode rather than the windowed app-like mode, i.e. the equivalent of launching the shortcut and then pressing f11... i googled the topic and found solultions that included adding "--kiosk" to the target in shortcut properties, but i can't figure out exactly where to add, every time i add it and then apply i receive an error.

so can someone here help me out? here are the shortcut property entries as of now:

target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --profile-directory=Default --app-id=akkheaabpnkfhcaebdhneikfekamanod

start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application"

run: normal window

thanks very much!

not sure i follow? what should work nicely with the tv web app?

if i use chrome to create a desktop shortcut for the tv web app, and then launch the shortcut, i get the same thing as when i do it for the web client, i.e. a "windowed" app-like look... what i'm looking for is the ability to launch the shortcut in fullscreen, without the "window", i want it to launch into kiosk (f11) mode... as i mentioned, this seems possibly by adding "--kiosk" to the shortcut properties, i just don;t know where to add it.

Ok I'm not an expert with the chrome command line but I'm sure they have a switch that will do that.

ok, got it sorted out...

if you want the kiosk mode to work you have to close all instances of chrome browser, including chrome remote desktop if you're using it, and then relaunch chrome (or any website shortcut you've created) in kiosk mode using the kiosk switch (--kiosk)... chrome doesn't have the ability to do both, i.e. have some websites opened in tabbed pages, while others are opened in kiosk mode, it's either one or the other.

also, if you add the kiosk switch to your chrome shortcut (desktop/taskbar/start menu) and then launch chrome, which will be in kiosk mode, all of the website desktop shortcuts you've created with chrome will automatically launch in kiosk mode, no need to edit their properties, no need to add the kiosk switch.

here are a couple examples of the what the kiosk switch looks like in the shortcut properties:

chrome shortcut - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --kiosk
emby web client shortcut - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --kiosk http://localhost:8096/web/home.html

here's a comparison of what the emby web client looks like using different chrome options... the first image, to the far left, shows emby launched in kiosk mode (no tabs, address bar, etc), it acts just like an app, i'm really liking this option... the center image shows what emby looks like when launched from a desktop shortcut created by chrome (a resizable window without tabs), and the image to the far right is when the emby client is launched normally in the chrome browser:
