Playback stops our client becomes disconnected from server. The only thing that seems to fix it is to manually close the app and start again. Server Log attached.

Can you supply the media info from the web app of the video? Also what device/OS is Emby server installed on?

I have tried it on 2 separate server setups. Result is the same regardless of which video i am playing. All of my videos are encoded similarly.

1) Windows 10

2) Raspberry Pi 3, DietPi distro

No. It will play for a couple of minutes sometimes. Sometimes it will even finish playing through the entire video, but when finished it will not load the next video and shows up at a resume point somewhere in the middle of the video. It's like the client suddenly loses contact with the server but will continue to play the remaining video it has buffered.

Thought it might be a network issue, but I have really good signal strength throughout the house and the server and router are about 20 ft from the Xbox one.

Also getting the same issues on Xbox One S, I have an Xbox One original version on the same network and it doesn't show these issues.  Sometimes the Xbox One S will play all the way through but more often than not it will freeze several minutes after starting playback. If you try to fast forward or rewind or pause the video seems to trigger the freeze issue but I feel like even though the video is still playing it's already kind of locked up as the lower third video info overlay wont pop up even if its still playing.  When I force quit the Emby app from the Xbox home screen and get the app loaded again (takes a minute or two for the app to actually exit) and get the video playing again it resumes much further in the video (seems like the xbox app and server are loosing communication and the server thinks the video is still playing?).  When the video freezes if I check the server is shows the xbox is playing and the time counter is still counting up (how ever long it takes the server to realize the xbox app has been force quit is aprox the amount of time that the resume is off by?).  I also notice that the lower third video info panel wont come up if I watch more than one episode of a series letting it play through from one episode to the next...   I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app countless times and even reset the Xbox One S to factory settings and reloaded the app.  I have the Xbox One S wired to the same network as the server and the server is running FreeBSD but I have had the server running on Windows with the same issue.  The files are of all different types and codecs...
