Still not working. One change however. I no longer see the overlay when click back from playing a file, which I did before.

Hi Luke, no change for me. What is also strange is that the first couple times I started and moved my mouse over to click in Username the whole app goes black and there is nothing I can do but click cross via taskbar preview to close it.

Then I just started typing the next time without moving mouse over, hoping it was in the username field already, which it was. Logged in ok then using mouse was fine but playback still has the OSD missing.

Thanks

Unfortunately no change with the new version for me either. However, similar to rouq, activating the OpenGL high profile did solve the problem and my system seems to be able to handle it without issue... for now.

Ok, the update was already pulled earlier today, so for those who need immediate relief you can always install again from the website and you'll get 2.9.6.

I would like to re-release this update though so I will ask you guys to test updated builds again. Thanks.

I have the same problem on my windows 7 computer, but not my windows 10 computer. I recently installed Shark codecs on Windows 7. Could that be my issue?

No, it's a matter of the window transparency features that we're relying on are working on some machines but not others.

I'll test some of these builds, too. As a control group to see if new issues, arise.

Latest build didn't work for me either and I noticed that certain videos still play black even with the OpenGL high profile active. Downloaded 2.9.6 from the web and everything is back to normal. Hooray!

Happy to test future builds when needed :)

Not sure if its the same thing but I've been getting flickering overlay for the first couple seconds of a video play back for the last few days.  Seems to settle down after that though.  Also had one video that was almost like a slide show and it caused the video to get waaay out of sync withe audio.  video worked fine in vlc when I tested that

For what it's worth, I was watching a TV series saturday and when it went to next episode I lost all my overlay as well too. Didn't really matter, but a reboot/restart fixed it.  All is good now though.

Similar issues in the LG app, which is just ET bundled into an app.

Still waiting for the updated LG app to be released.
