bkloppenborg 1
@@benze Indeed, I too noticed that the Chromecast doesn't honor local DNS settings. Its quite annoying. In my case, the emby subdomain has a public record so I don't need to add any redirection rules for Google's DNS servers. I also checked that running `dig @8.8.8.8` on my subdomain returns the correct result.
bkloppenborg 1
So I haven't gotten any further with this. @@Luke, do you have any thoughts on how I can debug/troubleshoot this issue? Is there a way to snoop what the Chromecast is doing?

Antheor 0
I do have the same problem but using an nginx reverse proxy. Playing a media from a browser or an app work. Playing a media from chromecast remotely doesn't. Emby is showing the proper dns name on the panel and is configured to be "Security managed by a reverse proxy" I tried to redirect external https to emby http, and https. Both display the same results. 8.8.8.8 dns is properly solving my public ip address I have a few users that only have chromecast as a way to send media to a tv and they cannot use the service There's no trace of a request from the chromecast in emby server logs Edit: After further investigation it seems that I have some request on http://MYDOMAIN.FR:8096 I don't really understand why it is showing my domain and not the local ip address Edited July 26, 2019 by Antheor
