Manual Log in VS User Screen

So I have been running emby for several years with no issues or need to bother anyone with questions, until this week.  One issue that has bugged me but I just ignored it, has now gotten more frequent and more annoying.  I have searched and checked all settings and I do not see what I might be doing wrong.

When initiating Emby via WMC on an Xbox or on the PC that is actually running emby server on my local LAN, sometimes I am taken directly to a list of users.  Other times, and much more frequently lately, I am takien to a screen with a number code asking me to enable authentication online, or manually log in with the emby server IP address. I want to go directly to the user list every time, but cannot figure out how to make it happen.  Is there something I am missing making this happen?  When my extended family logs in remotely from their homes, using my NOIP dns service address and port 8096, they are always taken straight to the users list to log in.

Thanks for all the help!!!

If you are getting that screen it means your server cannot be found or, possibly, there is a bad address saved for it.

First, be sure your server has a static IP address so it doesn't change.

Then, go into the Advanced setting page in EMC (last one and only there if an admin) and toggle the remember server setting on and off.

EMC?  I went to advanced settings in WMC -> Emby and found an automatically find server setting and switched it to the IP address of the server?  The server has always had a static IPV4 address.  That was the only setting somewhat related to what you were saying.  I did not see a remember server setting???

EDIT:  well my change did not do it...  Am I looking in the right place for the remember server setting?

Great!  At first I did not think this worked.  I changed it on the PC running WMC and Emby and the client xboxes were not effected.  Then it hit me to try changing the settings on the client side.  Boom...  Fixed.

This has been an annoyance for quite a while.  Not any more! Thanks!
