max.scali 0
Anyone out there knows if hw transcoding is supported on Synology DS118? CPU works around 90% when transcoding with no hw transcoding option active, so I'm wondering if Emby can use the internal hw transcoding engine of this NAS, in order to reduce CPU usage. Thank you
Luke 37028
hi @@max.scali, unfortunately Synology is not exposing this for other apps to utilize.

DSBenny 0
I just found this thread. Do I assume correctly that there is no way either to use HW Transcoding on my DS 218play? Thanks for answering!
