Depechie 6
Hey, Running non 4K version of Emby app with Emby server version 3.2.60.0 running on my Thecus NAS. When I play movies on the Apple TV I'm not getting any subtitles shown, regardless on what setting I put it ( default, smart, ... or manual to the one it finds like ENG ). When playing the same content with Windows Media Center Emby app, I do get subtitles. Also when running inside a browser straight from the server url, I see the subtitles. So what am I doing wrong with the Apple TV app? Thanks Glenn
corey 312
Are you using the ‘Select Audio or Subtitle’ option followed by selecting ‘Play with these selections’?
Depechie 6
I'll take screenshots this weekend of all the setup pages to have a good reference...
Depechie 6
So these are the current settings and when the movie is running it does detect there is cc available. But selecting during play or before play from the menu will not add it on screen And like I said, same movie in browser from Emby server does show subtitles. Solution Depechie 6 Posted January 28, 2018 Author Solution Share Posted January 28, 2018 Ok found it!! You first need to enable the Closed Captions option in the Apple > Settings > General > Accessibility
