Is it possible to get a filter in the pictures library to sort by date taken for photos snd home videos.

And couldnt this be matched with a timeline view? this would be awesome.

Sorry for my bad english. Not my native tounge.

Best regards

in the mean time, see if your device(s) allow(s) a naming scheme for the files where "sort by filename" is same as"sort by date taken"..that might be a work around

Hi,

Any news regarding filter by date taken for photos?

I have organize my photos by years in folders. In each folders there are pictures from different devices eg. several mobiles and other cameras. So in windows I can sort by date taken and the photos will be organized by when the photo was taken.

I really want this feature in Emby as well. Or have I missed something?

@luke: cool, looking forward to it!

Currently: syncing my phone to my server. Emby is watching those synced files, but folder structure is a mess (sync of internal folder structure of my android).

If I could get a timeline, representing pictures/videos without having to browse into my folder structure, tis could be a real time saver!!!

kind regards,

Bart

I'm eagerly waiting for this feature as well.

It's great to take a chronological trip in memory lane through all your home pictures and videos from different sources (and so different filename schemes) by slideshow.

In the meantime I'm using a different media software for exactly this feature.
