Indexing CR2 does not work and takes down FreeNAS

I have installed the latest FreeNAS. I am trying to import my photo library, which includes mostly CR2 raw image files. This does not work however. I get loads of error like the following:

Moreover scanning the library seems to block resources. The machine starts to slow down, and after I while I have to hard reset the whole server since it does not reply anymore.

 

I have found this thread https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24733-cr2-format/ and installed ufraw in the jail, but that does not seem to make any difference.

 

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Hi, we're trying to read the image dimensions with something that doesn't even support cr2. We'll skip this for the next release and this should clear up the resource consumption issue. thanks.

Thanks for the reply - great! Will this fix CR2 support or will this deactivate CR2 altogether? When can the new release be expected?

 

BTW: A nice feature would be if you could exclude certain folders and files with some regexp pattern.
