I noticed yesterday that some of my TV seasons have been renamed "series" - here's one example:

Same show in Metadata Manager:

I suppose I could rename them in the metadata manager - but it's weird that this has happened. And finding all the affected seasons would take ages.

Lots of discussions about this over the last few months.

If you search for "seasons" and "series" with me as the author, you should find them.

I did search - but came up with nothing. I've only just noticed the issue - but I suppose it could have been happening for a while.

I wonder if it's anything to do with the "Preferred Display Language" - which I have set to "English (United Kingdom)"  - as those UK TV seasons seem to be called series - I guess it's in the translation file somewhere.

Here is a discussioon on it

https://emby.media/c...ow-season-year/

Mentions the translation table, which for UK is set to use Series instead of Season (or was last time i looked), I am in the UK btw

Strangely though, mine seems to have stopped using the term Series X, and now uses Season X

still need to manually change as all my older content is labelled as Season XX (which is how i name my folders)

I had this happen to me a few months back and made a thread about it... @Luke said that he was going to add an option to get the localisation directly from the folder i.e. the way it used to be.

Strangely though, when I rebuilt my server - this stopped happening and I'm not sure why as I have everything set to English (UK).

I still get Season for everything I add and I'm also in the UK :)

I seem to remember that Media Browser had a setting where you could set your preferred season/series name.

this is not handled by the server but more a "feature" of tmdb to provide localized variants of "Season xx" or "Episode xx" if nothing is fill in these fields

Also, check the order of your METADATA fetchers in Library/Metadata.

Can we get 100% confirmation where this data is coming from

Mine used to be generated by the server, it always picked up what my folders where named and used this (Season xx), then it changed to being Series X, now i get Season X, not added many new recently to check it

Reading the above, is the regional translation website not used at all for this feature

Something changed in the way the servers gets this data, Luke mentioned a while back he was going to put an option in so folder names can be used

What do i need to do to get all my Season folders named as Season XX? , without manually changing them
