marxjohnson 0
I have Emby installed on an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS server. I have music files on the server in various formats. Most formats will play fine. However, when I attempt to play a FLAC, I get no playback. I have tried sending to Kodi via DLNA, and through the web app. With the web app I see the error "No compatible streams are currently available". I have previously had Emby installed and playing FLACs with no issue, but I recently rebuilt the server and it hasn't been working since. Can anyone help me debug and fix the issue? Luke 37008
Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this. Can we look at an example? Please discuss an example and attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
marxjohnson 0
Thanks, I've attached a log that was generated by attempting to play a FLAC file. The file in question is called "Art Brut - People In Love.flac". You might also see me messing around with the transcoding settings, I tried switching to use ffmpeg installed via apt, to see if that helped. It didn't, so I switched back to the version bundled with Emby. There was no separate transcoding log file generated. I have debug logging enabled. emby-server.log

Luke 37008
that actually won't prevent playbacks, so it shouldn't be a problem. based on the stream url it appears the server doesn't have media info about these files, or at least doesn't have a known runtime. can you try refreshing the album from the album detail screen using the 3-dot menu? see if that helps. are you able to play mp3's? marxjohnson 0
Looks like refreshing the metadata for the album did it, thanks! I seem to be able to play MP3s and Oggs without any issue. I'll just have to refresh the albums that aren't working.
