I was trying to play Gomorra.S01E03.L.omm.e.casa.720p.BluRay.DTS.ITA.Subs.ITA.ENG.x264.mkv Edited December 10, 2017 by fbrassin
Dibbes 429
@@fbrassin Seems like an issue with your file. It won't play through the webpage either, while other .mkv's will play...
fbrassin 35
I whatched that file with plex with no issue. But it happens also with all the files. I think there must been something on that vps.

I've just tried to play the same episode from web ui and it works without problems so there should be something with my ATV4. BTW i have 2 ATV4 and it doesn't work with anyone. fbrassin 35
There should be something on my server i think as i cannot reproduce it on both my atv4. Any idea?
ebr 14857
Not sure. Perhaps ffmpeg version? I see some errors from ffprobe trying to process some of your videos as well as errors in chapter extraction. I also notice you appear to have the app's bitrate set to just 1.5Mb/s. Is this a remote connection?
Luke 36879
Yes it is, over https.
fbrassin 35
Yes, it is a remote connection. I didn't realize i have connection limited. I will try to set it to max so i should have no transcoding, maybe the problem is that.
fbrassin 35
I managed to make it start. My ATV4 in playing menu is set to stream at 40Mb/s, but i'm sure the play was transcoded at a lower bitrate. Where else should i set to stream at original bitrate? Here is my transcoding: https://paste2.org/A2yBgxI6 And this is server log: https://paste2.org/Y39YAtZt
ebr 14857
Hi. It is not reducing the bitrate. The video is only at just under 4Mb/s. It is transcoding for two reasons: 1) DTS is not supported on the Apple TV 2) You have selected graphical subs that are also not supported by the device so are being burned in
fbrassin 35
Here you sure it is under 4Mb/s It seems over 5Mb/s Or am i wrong? ebr 14857
Second question. How can i select non graphical subtitles? You could use our subtitle downloading feature to find suitable text ones or find them by some other means.
