Just wondering -

is there any (easy) way to add channel numbers to tv channels. Have added some for a few IPTV channels provided by someone who wrote a collection of them, (all legally available) but non of them have a channel number assigned.

If they don't have channel numbers, presumably they can't be accessed using a remote (not that I have one on the PC anyway) ?

Yes you can add channel numbers within the m3u. That is currently the best way until we have more robust channel management.

I presume I could download this file -

and add in a channel number but if the file is being kept up to date by the creator would I have to update it every 10 minutes as he updates it or would that not matter if he's actually updating stuff from github which contains stuff like this -

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-name="009" tvg-id="tv.7" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubus...tv.7.png",ShineTV

http://iptv.matthuis...nz/nz/tv.7.m3u8

maybe I should just try it...

That seemed to work btw, turned

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-name="002" tvg-id="tv.10" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubus...tv.10.png",TVNZ2

into

#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="1002" tvg-name="002" tvg-id="tv.10" tvg-logo="https://raw.githubus...tv.10.png",TVNZ2

might be a poor way to actually do it, but it seems to work.
