Dani_ 1
Just check the security settings in the file where the emby server is. or check the file properties.

Luke 36884
Thanks for the feedback. I wonder why you had to do that in the first place. I haven't heard of this before. I'm guessing some security setting that might be enabled on your system

MisterAngelus 7
The only thing I can think of is when I uninstalled Emby Stable I used IObit Uninstaller which brought up Embys uninstaller and the uninstaller hung even after Orbit did its thing Emby was still hanging and I couldn't close it I waited 10 mins then did a task manager force close... as far as security software the only one I use is Malwarebytes which i turned off during the Emby reinstall just in case it was causing it
ShoutingMan 95
I’m having the same problem in Windows 10. It’s new, and only affecting Emby Server installer. I’ll try the linked fix.
rocketkarl 0
Luke's link worked for me as well. Just in case the link goes away, here's the trick: In regedit: Change "HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\.NETFramework\Security\TrustManager\PromptingLevel\Internet" to Enabled Found several other suggested fixes (including other registry mods), but none worked on Win 7 for me. The one above did. Edited December 29, 2017 by rocketkarl
