DaveRook 0
I've just downloaded Emby. I'm a first time user. It asks me to sign in, or skip and add the server manually. I'm trying to add the server manually. I open my copy of Kodi and note the UNC is smb://192.168.1.81/Public/Film As such, I copy this into the path in Emby and I see an error message explaining there is connection failure. As such I re-attempt with 192.168.1.81/Public/Film and \\nas-dvd\public\film All of these fail. I can only assume I'm doing something wrong and silly! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Solution Luke 36889 Posted November 13, 2017 Solution Share Posted November 13, 2017 Hi, it sounds like all you've downloaded is the Emby android app, is that correct? If that's true then you also need Emby Server. Check out our quick start guide: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Quick%20start Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
DaveRook 0
Thank you Luke. I had not realised. I've read up more and as such, have new issues but hope I've posted in the correct place: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52951-how-to-install-emby-on-qnap/
