Senna 368
I notice now that channel number designation for an added m3u tuner (with xml tv listing) ends now at number 17877. Please describe where config and data files are stored on Emby server for the m3u tuner, because I want to reset all info/delete cache concerning live TV and start from zero, so that channel numbering starts at one when I delete all m3u tuners and install an new m3u tuner. Edit: Item in linked topic is fixed I want to eliminate the problems I have right now in Live TV with the guide on my Apple TV 4K, see also: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52658-maximum-call-stacksize-exceeded-live-tv-guide-error-message-in-apple-tv-4k-app/ Edited November 7, 2017 by Senna
Luke 37005
Just delete them from the emby web interface and then run a guide refresh.
Senna 368
Just delete them from the emby web interface and then run a guide refresh. Not working. For channel numbers of a re-installed m3u tuner, cached data is still used. My m3u contains 409 channels, they get assigned the same channel numbers What I tried: 1) Delete m3 tuner 2) Refresh Guide data 3) Delete xml tv epg data 4) Refresh Guide data 5) Restart server 6) Install m3u tuner 7) Refresh Guide data 8) Install xml tv epg data 9) Refresh Guide data Like I said, I want my added channels start from 1 and get added by Emby sequentially. Now it keeps getting added from a cached number. In my Emby guide list for my 409 channels I see the following numbers appear: 10 13 100 15127 thru 17877 As you can see, their not sequential, so that's why I wanted to know how to delete cached data for Live TV, because removing and installing the same m3u tuner, keeps using cached data for channel numbering. Also, assigning channel numbers in the m3u isn't supported it seems in Emby, because an other test with a m3u with channel numbers, didn't get the assigned channel numbers into Emby. maegibbons 1267
Assigning channel numbers in the m3u IS DEFINATELY supported. You use the channel-id tag as follows: #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="2065" tvg-id="I62391.json.schedulesdirect.org",QUEST SD 2065 will be the channel in Emby. Senna 368
Thanks Mark, will let the author of my m3u editor know, to change his code, to implement correctly the channel-id's, when renumbering or assigning. Do you perhaps know were data & settings of the m3u tuner and/or xml tv is stored in the Emby directory, so when I add a m3u without channel numbers in it, that I can delete old data in advance of installing a new m3u tuner ? maegibbons 1267
The only file I know of is the livetv.xml file but that does not contain channel numbers. Sorry, I just know about the m3u manipulation which I have done a lot of. Krs Mark
