concord 0
On my Roku 3, when scrolling thru the guide, I assume the Roku can only hold a certain amount of guide data and needs to go back to the server for more, thus the pause. Would adding an SD card help to store more guide data? Does the Roku Ultra load more guide data than the Roku 3? Thanks, Concord.
ebr 14901
No, the hardware on the Roku end will not affect this. In my setup, there is very little pause. How much of a pause are you seeing?

How much of a pause are you seeing? There are 5 channels being displayed at a time. When go to the next channel below the last one being displayed, the guide goes green for about 3 seconds before displaying the next set of channels. If I remember correctly, my firetv didn't do this. ebr 14901
Three seconds? Really... How many channels in total do you have? Is this client remote to the server?

concord 0
Three seconds? Really... How many channels in total do you have? Is this client remote to the server? About 28 OTA channels, running locally. I rebooted everything and it's 2 seconds mostly now, with an occasional 3 second delay/refresh. I didn't know if it's a limitation of memory or a limitation of brightscript that turns the guide green then updates the page (never Looked at the brightscript API). PlutoTV keeps the cursor on the same row and moves the guide information and runs smoothly...however they are dealing with a limited 2 hour window, not a 2 week window. Note that I'm on a 7th gen i7, running Emby and Plex in dockers.
ebr 14901
Wow, that's really surprising. I can hold the arrow down and scream through my 65 channels with only slight pauses between pages.
Jdiesel 1113
My server is outside my local network and I would guess that my page changes happen within 1 second
