dkabot 1 Posted October 3, 2017 Share Posted October 3, 2017 (edited) I'm running the Emby Beta channel, and at some point before the latest Stable release, the web app stopped responding to the Chapter/Title Skip buttons. They are supposed to jump ~5 minutes forward or back, or to the next or previous title marker in the video file. but do not respond in such a manner. On the latest episode of a TV series, or in a movie, the buttons simply do nothing when pressed. When on a prior episode of a TV series, the Next button will jump to the next episode, at which point the Previous button will go back to where I started. I cannot go backward from where I started, or two episodes ahead. The issue was noticed on Chrome, though quickly checking Edge shows the same thing occurring. The iOS app still works properly, the Fire TV app's equivalent functionality works, and VLC shows the raw video files have chapters. I do not have the server configured to serve any sort of Custom CSS. No error messages appear on the client end when this occurs. Per the reporting instructions, a server log is attached. I restarted the server, started a movie, pressed the buttons, stopped and went to a TV show's latest episode, did the same, then went to the second-to-latest episode of that show and did it once more. Luke 37022 Posted October 3, 2017 Share Posted October 3, 2017 The buttons in the video player have been changed so that they are next/previous track in your current play queue, rather than next/previous chapter. It closes a limitation we had where previously there was just no way to advance forward or back. So what that means is there is no button to skip chapters, you just have to use the seek bar. Thanks. Luke 37022 Posted October 3, 2017 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Currently if you use the seek bar, the popup thumbnail will change on chapter points, because right now those thumbnails are not actually true thumbnails and are just using the same ones from chapters.
