DJ8ones 1
New Emby user here. Love what you are doing. I came to the part for Live TV. Was an original WMC user, then transitioned to MediaPortal, and now Emby. My question is about the fast forward and rewind functions. I expected them to work like WMC of old and MP that I just left. FF/Rew would give me a 2x/4x/8x/etc. "scrubbing" capability. I expected skip forward/back to be the 30 sec (adjustable) at a time skips. What I found instead with Emby is that FF/Rew are the 30 sec skips and the Skip Forward/Back give me much larger jumps (5 or 10 minutes, I can't remember). Does that sound right, or am I missing something. I'm using a 4th gen i3 Intel NUC with a Logitech Harmony Remote. All the keys I'm using are from the Harmony's database entries for WMC remote or WMC keyboard. As far as I know, they are the standard media keys. Do I set something up wrong? Is there a setting to make this work as I expected? I don't know that it matters, but note that I tried both the Windows Store app and the Desktop app. Unfortunately, the Desktop app seems to really tax my system (that's a whole other issue, I know). Both seem to have this issue of not doing FF/Rew correctly. BTW - I did search forums for a topic on this and couldn't find anything. Likewise, I tried going through the FAQ and Wiki and didn't find anything. I tried to be self-sufficient, for what it's worth.
DJ8ones 1
I have tears in my eyes for the knowledge that someone has but will not share. All my dreams of Live TV utopia are put on hold as I wait by my computer night and day for an answer. I'm probably being impatient (ok, yes, I'm being impatient), but all I'm asking is if the FF/Rew works this way by design or if I've missed something. Luke 36887
hi @@DJ8ones, the buttons in the video player OSD have been changed to previous and next track. The rest we are currently reviewing. thanks.

Marc_G 92
When I moved from WMC to Emby Theater I noticed I needed to use different keys to effect skip forward/back than I was used to. I was using a keyboard with media center remote keys built in. I never actually use fast forward or reverse; I just skip forward or back. Anyway, the controls seemed just a bit different. What you are seeing is likely a combination of skipping and next/previous chapter.
Volfan6415 17
Is there a way to achieve the “scrubbing feature” from wmc described above in Emby theater?
Luke 36887
We plan to add that in the future. Thanks.

Senna 366
its in on android tv, other clients to follow I guess That's the problem of Emby nowadays, no uniformity between Emby Client apps. Look at this list for the Apple TV client, which is miles behind in uniformity compared to the Android TV app, iOS app or Web app.
hstamas 153
I hear ya and its frustrating to have to wait (and wait) for a feature to be implemented. I keep trying to remind myself that it appears that there are only a handful of people working on these projects so its going to take time. Just that with technology such as this when it take over a year for something to be implemented (or longer/if ever) we've already moved onto the newer, shinier thing out there so its sad that what we are currently using cant live up to it potential. Look at this list for the Apple TV client, which is miles behind in uniformity compared to the Android TV app, iOS app or Web app. While we are striving for more consistency across the apps, there is simply no way for them all to get all the features at the same time. Would you rather we wait to release new features on platforms until they were ready everywhere? With respect to this specific scrubbing feature, the backing feature in the server is only about a month old and the web, mobile, Android TV and Roku all already support it. With respect to this specific scrubbing feature, the backing feature in the server is only about a month old and the web, mobile, Android TV and Roku all already support it. My comment was NOT regarding this topic about scrubber functionality, but the general way how things are going with the Emby apps on some platforms. You know very well that some BASIC functionality is still missing for more than a year already, on the Apple TV platform and for Apple TV users, it is not nice to see that those are still not fixed. Users would rather see DEV resources spent on BASIC issues to be fixed first, to get at least some functional BASIC uniformity between Emby apps WHERE possible. Apologies for going Off-topic....
