all4dom 80 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I started my apple tv and clicked on emby. It came on but when I went to select an episode to watch, nothing happened. So I restarted the apple tv & after clicking on emby, all it does is say starting up, but it never logs in. So i rebooted the apple tv & it did the same thing. I deleted the emby app & re downloaded it & I get the same thing, starting up, but it just stays on starting up. server-63640686357.txt
Luke 38803 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi, as a test, try removing the PlayOn plugin and see if it has any impact. Thanks.
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Were u able to figure out the issue?
ebr 15426 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hi. Is this working now? Our data center in Atlanta had a power outage at one point yesterday due to Irma but it came back up and appears to be functioning fine now.
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Same thing.....stuck at starting up. Can I provide u with anything else.
ebr 15426 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Is it possible your Apple TV device is being blocked from getting out to the internet or certain internet sites?
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 The internet works. But I did setup emby connect Sunday night. Let me check 1 thing.
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 On my router I tested the connection & it said good. I reset my windows firewall. Any other suggestions.
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 The Apple tv itself is working. It's just the emby app.
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Should I delete the port forwarding? That is the only change I made
all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Ok I deleted the app & reinstalled it. It says it could not find my server on the network & is asking for server name or emby connect. I put my server name & it says it can't find it.
ebr 15426 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Sounds a lot like some sort of network issue on the device itself. If you got to the server connection screen then you were able to get past the issue you were having before (which smelled like something blocking access). If it is wireless, try moving closer to AP just to see if there is a difference. Also ensure your server is accessible from another device.

Luke 38803 Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I would suggest checking out our Connection Troubleshooter. Please try the steps listed there and let us know exactly what succeeds and what fails. thanks !
Solution all4dom 80 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Solution Posted September 12, 2017 I have it working. I had to reset firewall & enter server name manually. Then I setup winfirwall to allow emby. I must have dis something when I setup emby connect Sunday night. 1
