Clicking when music track changes

Hi Emby community,

New Emby user here.  I tried Emby a couple years ago out of curiosity.  It wasn't right for me then, but I'm taking another look, and it seems to have come a long way in that time.

Something I'm noticing, and wondering if any one else is seeing the same.  I haven't found a similar report so far:

I am using Emby primarily for photos and music.  I like to start a music playlist while I'm working around the house.  I'm noticing that, when one track ends and a new one begins, I hear a sound as if a button on the Roku remote is being pressed (it isn't).  It doesn't seem to happen in the first minute after I finish starting things, so I think it only occurs after Emby goes to its "dim" mode, after about 40 seconds of play.

Emby Roku version 3.0.41

Emby server Version 3.2.30.0

Server is on a Linux Mint 17.1 64-bit system.

Has anyone experienced this?  Is there anything to be done about it?

What container is the music in?  How is the music being played? (transcode-direct play-direct stream)

I have a hunch for what it may be.

If there is an option on your Roku to turn off navigation sounds, try doing that and see if it goes away.

Thanks.

I'll have to figure out where to get ffmpeg logs, but here's the emby server log.

My music files are entirely flac and mp3.

Turning off the Roku navigation sounds does indeed make this sound go away.

Okay, then my hunch was correct.  Not really sure what to do about it nor why you are the only one who has noticed it...

No other app on my Roku that plays my music files (Roku Media Player, Plex) does this, so I'm sure the developers can figure it out.

I can't reproduce this, but I am on Beta: v3.0.48 and Windows server Beta: v3.2.32.1, Roku 4.

What Roku version are you using?

It's a Roku 3, I'll have to check their software version when I get home in a few days.

Never heard of this either, Last week I was listening to music and adding songs to the queue while mid-stream but didn't encounter this issue

Also i hate the navigation sounds so its been off since I first plugged it up - Not at home right now, but for the roku 2 i recall this being the menu volume (which is currently set to "off")

Can anyone verify if the menu volume only applies when navigating the menu or if it also applies in apps? I'm assuming no since i believe Youtube has their own app specific navigation sound options, which i also have off   :P

Finally got back to this.  My Roku recently updated to firmware version 8.0, and this is still happening.

Now running Emby server Version 3.2.36.0, and Emby Roku 3.0.54.

Fresh log file attached.

I understand that, but that's not a viable long-term solution, because those sounds are desirable in other areas, where they are intended to occur.  I hope this is being treated as a bug, and I am trying to provide information that I hope will be helpful in troubleshooting.

Thanks.  I already know what the issue is thanks to your previous troubleshooting but, to "fix" it means giving up some other desired functionality so we need to find a way to preserve that.
