Cant find Emby Server for Synology DS418J

Hello,

 

i cant find the Emby Server at my new Synology DS418J, i did the same steps i did on my DS410J but i cant find the App at the Comunity section.

 

is it not supported yet? if yes how long will it take ?

I was about to start a topic on this, so well done on beating me to it!

 

Synology haven't released the development toolkit for this platform yet, so there's nothing we can do right now.

 

As soon as they do, it will take around a week to get a test package together.

 

We may have a few challenges to work through, due to the CPU (Realtek RTD1293) being used in this device.

It really can vary quite significantly, so it's not possible (or sensible) to make predictions.

 

We'll be keeping an eye on it and get started as soon as it's made available.

I've just released an initial build for Synology systems based on the 'rtd1296' architecture.
 
If you refresh Package Center, you should now see Emby Server and be able to install it.
 
Let me know how you get on and if possible, I'd appreciate if you could run the diagnostics (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Run-Diagnostics) and send logs (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Send-us-Support-Logs) utilities.
 
This is the first release, so there may be issues we need to work through.

i installed it and run the diagnostic and send my logs:

the only thing i noticed so far is than each time i restart the emby server (within the emby server dashboard) i get something like an error. after waiting a couple of seconds and refreshing the page i get back to the dashboard:

Thanks for the update and the logs, pleased to hear you're up and running!

 

I'll take a look at the diagnostics and logs in the morning.

 

We were unable to include some of the Synology customisations in the latest stable release, which is why you are seeing the 'broken' UI after restarting from the dashboard. This will be resolved again in the next release, the restart however will work, you'll just need to manually refresh the browser.

I've had a look through the logs this morning, everything looks good.

 

This architecture will now be included in all builds going forward.
